Prophetess
Sincerely I wasn’t sure what to expect from this movie, but after seeing the trailer and being persuaded by a friend and I decided to go check it out and I was disappointed.
The producer has loads of fans and I wasn’t sure his reason for producing this movie. On the other hand Toyin has huge followers who I think kind of understand her and what she does. For me I don’t get it at all. I have struggled to see “Alakada” but I wanted to give this one a benefit of doubt and trust me it didn’t go down well at all.
The honest truth is that the two hours movie felt like eternity. I kept asking myself what I was doing there still sittng in the cinema and I just couldn’t answer it. It felt like torture and a nightmare but still I didn’t want to give up. I got up severally to walk away but then I felt what you have started you must finish.
Believe I made it to the end, but please don’t ask me why and how? Till today I still can’t even believe how I made it through. When my friend slept off at some point, I confirmed I wasn’t the problem here.
I won’t take much of your time at all.
Toyin Ayimaku played the lead role as the “Prophetess” and she had 2 back up translators.
One day, Remi who was a radio on-air-personality and an influencer visited her and recorded an Insta live video that went viral. All the things she predicted came to past and she became famous across the region.
She gave a prediction about a small football club in her city, which influenced the betting options of the entire city and it was going to have a huge negative effect on the inflow of the bet company.
It became a clash between the bet company and the church to undo what she said. The entire movie was about her prophesying to different people and saying what she was sure of, some of them came to past luckily while others didn’t and they came after her.
She had to make sure the team win so that her people don’t lose their money and the bet company wanted her to make sure they lost so they don’t fold up. Well, we will end it here do go and watch the movie and tell me what you think.

To my verdict I would score this movie 4/10 and this is for efforts made. I just didn’t get it at all. I just couldn’t wait to get up and leave it as the movie just didn’t sit right with me.
I am a great fan of a very good and informative storyline. I wasn’t sure what the message was here and I didn’t really get it.
