Rampage is a sci-fi monster film following a primatologist that teams up with a discredited geneticist to save his best friend, a gentle albino gorilla named George.
A greedy, immoral corporation known as Energyne conducts illegal genetic experiments aboard a space station. When an experiment goes wrong, the station is destroyed, but three canisters of the mutagen fall to the earth. One lands near an intelligent, gentle, albino silverback gorilla named George in a San Diego wildlife sanctuary.

George, who shares a close bond and sign-language communication with his caretaker, primatologist Davis Okoye, is exposed to the gas and begins growing exponentially. The two other canisters expose an American gray wolf and a crocodile to the pathogen, causing them to mutate into aggressive, gigantic alpha predators.
Davis and a disgraced genetic engineer named Dr. Kate Caldwell team to steal an antidote from the Energyne executives. They barely escape with a sample and fly to Chicago. Upon arriving, they discover the city under siege by the gorilla(George), the wolf(Ralph) and the crocodile(Lizzie).
Davis manages to inject George with the antidote, which successfully reverts George’s violent aggression but leaves his massive size intact.
George teams with Davis to fight the two monsters. Together, they kill the wolf and the crocodile in a destructive, city-wide battle. After the dust settles, George fakes his own death to escape military execution before he and Davis head off together to rebuild their partnership.
