Bright is an action-fantasy film following a LAPD human cop, Bright and his outcast orc partner must protect an elf woman and a powerful, world-altering magic wand.
The story is set in an alternate-present Los Angeles where humans coexist with mystical races, including orcs, elves and fairies. Society is heavily segregated with elves making up the wealthy elite, while orca face deep-rooted systemic prejudice and are treated as second-class citizens or criminals.

Human officer Daryl Ward and his partner Nick Jakoby(the LAPD first orc officer) are universally distrusted by their peers. During a routine patrol, they stumble upon a destroyed safe house, rescue a mysterious elf named Tikka and recover an ancient and highly coveted magic wand.
Possessing the wand is extremely dangerous. It is said to grant any wish, but touching it will incinerate anyone who is not a “Bright”- a rare magical individual.
A group of evil, renegade elves known as the inferni want the wand to resurrect the Dark Lord. Ward and Jakoby are relentlessly hunted by corrupt cops, federal agents and violent local gangs who want to use the wand for their own greed.
Ward unexpectedly discovers that he is a “Bright” and is able to wield the wand safely without being destroyed. Ward and Jakoby successfully protected the wand and kept it out of the hands of the inferni. The two partners are celebrated as heroes, helping to slightly shift the public’s perception and systemic bias against orcs in the police force.
