A mama Deola wedding story is a comedy-drama film following a young man, Femi who is from a working-class background with a past as a playboy and Demilade, a spoiled, high-class only child.
Demilade’s mother, Mrs Rochelle strongly opposes the union believing the families do not belong in the same social class. Mama Deola, Femi’s fierce and overbearing mother, refuses her son or family be outclassed or disrespected.

Mama Deola aggressively seized control of the wedding preparations, driving an over-the-top, chaotic Nigerian celebration with a massive guest list and heavy catering demands. As the wedding approaches, Femi and Demilade’s relationship is strained by ongoing arguments, misunderstandings and multiple women coming forward to expose details about Femi’s past playboy lifestyle.
Demilade’s family deals with its own internal fractures, including her separated parents and unresolved history. Mama Deola and her allies even resort to aggressive confrontations with wedding planners to bend things to their will. Just days before the grand ceremony(which features an enormous traditional wedding sequences with hundreds of extras), Demilade’s suddenly goes missing. Her disappearance triggers mass panic, finger-pointing at Femi and Mama Deola, a medical health scare for Mama Deola and a scramble to uncover the truth before the wedding completely falls apart.
