BATTLE ON BUKA STREET (CINEMA REVIEW) 2022
Sincerely at first I wasn’t so sure what to expect and if I should go watch this movie, but when I heard the review and hype surrounding the movie I knew I just had to run to the cinema to check it out and I was glad I did.
Well it was nice to see Funke and Mercy play lead roles here. Awele and Yejide were step sisters and their mums Asake and Einne had sown terrible seeds of discord among these 2 sisters, which they now transferred to their own kids, the competition and rivalry among both kids were just so ridiculous. The movie moved on to another dimension when Awele returned with her kids to open a new return restaurant just opposite Yejide and it was war. The 2 sister were desperate to out sell the other and make more money, they were willing to go to any length to proof a point that they were better than the other. I just couldn’t believe the length they would go to bring the other down, they disgraced the entire family in the village and this left their father so confused. Please go watch the movie to see how they finally destroyed the reputation their father had built.

To my verdict I would definitely score this movie 9/10 and it is absolutely going to make it into my top 5 best nollywood movie for the year, I totally enjoyed the storyline and the deep lessons they tried to past across. It was very sweet movie, with cast that played their roles so well. If you haven’t seen this movie I would recommend you run along and go check it out before it gets taken off, please be patient with them as the lessons are at the end, the beginning might be a bit loud, but it gets better with time.
