IJOGBON (NETFLIX REVIEW) 2023
If you are a fan of Kunle Afolayan, then you might want to try this, although it left a lot for me to behold, I just felt that it could have been done better, if you like drama movies, then you might enjoy this.
Honestly I guess I was expecting something very serious and intense when I found out that the movie was directed by Kunle Afolayan, but then I didn’t get the intensity in the story I was looking forward to. The movie started by showing us a group of secondary school classmates, who played and went home together every day after school. One day they went into the forest to play as usual when they bumped into bag of treasures, they super happy and excited that the treasures were going to make them very rich and take away all their pains and sorrows, little did they know that the treasures were going to bring doom and sadness in the land.

To my verdict I would score this movie 5/10, I guess I expected too much, and my expectations were not met at all, the movie left me wondering, I felt the story could have being written and directed better, some scenes were not necessary, and over-stretched, I guess they can do better with the next movie.
