The Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka, on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, hosted the CEO of Empire Publishing and Distribution, USA, Mr. Ghazi Shami, and his team at her office in Alausa, Ikeja.
The meeting focused on exploring collaborative opportunities to support Nigeria’s Creative Industry, with an emphasis on capacity building, talent sourcing, and improving production, distribution, and management processes.

A key highlight was the promotion of a Cultural Exchange Program between the U.S. and Nigeria, particularly in music and music education, and the establishment of a Music Academy in partnership with prestigious institutions in the U.S.
