SQUID GAME (NETFLIX REVIEW) 2024

Welcome to my first review for 2025, I am super excited that its going to be an interesting year. We had our lows and ups in 2024, but I am certain that 2025 will come with its own thrills, action and excitement, join me in this jolly ride as we review all kinds of movies across various streaming platforms and off course the cinema.

Well, if you haven’t seen Squid Game session 1, it will be nice for you to go watch it so that you can understand better season 2. This is the long-awaited season 2 finally came out after, then you might want to check this Nigerian movie out, it was simple and nice.

2 years of waiting, but I must say that it kind of fell flat from my expectations and thoughts, I had imagined that this was going to be more exciting and thrilling with an infusion of new games, but the long introduction in episodes 1 and 2, dragged for too long. So in this season, the winner from season 1 Seong Gi-Hun decides to return to the game this time to stop them from killing others, this time he has to play with over 400 contestants, thinking he knew the game and will give others clues on how to win, little did he know that they will turn things around and make things more difficult for people to win, you will need to watch the 7 episodes to see how they made it to the end and if they were able to stop the organizers, I guess the game isn’t over yet, we would be expecting Season 3 soon, for me I guess I might be taking a break for now.

To my verdict I would score this movie 6.5/10. This Squid Game didn’t cut it for me at all, there was just something wrong about this, they dragged the first 3 episodes, telling us stories that actually weren’t necessary, they could have gone straight to the movie, then I wondered why they allowed the guy back into the game when he knew the secret. Some of the games were off for me, for me this series just looked like it was forced and over stretched just to create season 2, if I am this lost I wonder what season 3 would really look like, I am not sure I am looking forward to that episode.
