THE MAN OF GOD (NETFLIX REVIEW) 2022
Searching for something new and interesting then check out this new Nollywood drama about a young rebellious boy who left home, joined the wrong group in school but later went on to become a great man of God.
Along the line, he got distracted by wealth, affluence and women and dipped his hands into the wrong things, for this he had to pay dearly for.
The 111m naira drama movie was directed by Bolanle Austine-Peters and featured Akah Nnani, Osas Ighodaro, Atlanta Bridget Johnson, Ayo Mogaji and many more.
This was a very simple Nigerian movie, that revealed the life of a young rebellious young man that later converted to being a Pastor “Man of God” as they are referred to here in Nigeria.
Samuel was one of the 2 sons of his parents. His father was a very strong dedicated pastor, who preached the right things, but for some strange reasons, he kept flogging and punishing his first son Samuel. His actions pushed Samuel into living a very notorious and wayward life just to spite his dad, until years later, he decides to leave the music career to becoming a full time pastor.
That was when the movie progressed really fast as Samuel will do anything to remain a wealthy pastor. Do check it out and let me know your take.

I guess a lot of people expected so much from the movie, hence the critics, well I didn’t see anything wrong with the movie, except for some scenes that dragged longer than normal, I felt they could have being kept brief and precise, it was just a simple drama movie, hence nothing exceptional or out of the world, felt like something we have seen before, anyway enough of my defense, I will score the movie 6/10, I felt it was okay, if you like Drama movies, then you might want to check this out, go in with an open mind, you might enjoy it better than the critics.
