In a barren, conflict‐riven desert of an unnamed third‑world country, an oil well has erupted into a raging inferno. Its uncontrollable flames threaten a nearby village and a makeshift refugee camp. The only hope to prevent a catastrophic explosion lies in a desperate plan: using nitroglycerin to create a controlled blast that will cap the burning well and save countless lives.
At the heart of the story is Fred a seasoned, no‑nonsense driver working as a contractor for the oil company and his younger brother Alex, an explosives expert recently released from prison. Alex’s troubled past and need for redemption contrast sharply with Fred’s steady professionalism.

When news breaks that the fire is spreading and time is running out, the oil company scrambles to assemble a crack team. The plan is as daring as it is dangerous: two heavily‑loaded trucks must cross treacherous desert terrain in under 24 hours, transporting 200 kilos of unstable nitroglycerin.
As if the peril of the journey were not enough, Fred is also drawn into a secondary crisis. In a volatile region where armed mercenaries lurk, he finds himself protecting a group of NGO workers Clara and Djibril who have become targets for assassination. Their plight underscores the chaos engulfing the region and raises the stakes of the mission.
Fred, tasked with driving one of the trucks, is joined by his brother Alex in the second vehicle. Although both share the same blood, their contrasting skills and haunted pasts create an undercurrent of tension. Fred’s experience on the unforgiving roads contrasts with Alex’s technical expertise with explosives, and their strained relationship hints at unresolved personal conflicts.

In a heart‑wrenching turn of events, Fred is forced to make an impossible choice. Realizing that any delay or error could lead to an explosion that would not only kill his brother but also obliterate the vulnerable village and the NGO workers he has sworn to protect, Fred opts for a final, self‑sacrificial act. In a desperate bid to salvage the mission, he deliberately places himself in harm’s way. His calculated risk ensures that the remaining nitroglycerin reaches the oil well, setting the stage for a controlled explosion that extinguishes the raging inferno.
The controlled blast is successful. The oil well fire is quelled just in time to spare the nearby village, and the lives of Clara, Djibril, and other innocent bystanders are saved. However, the victory comes at a tremendous personal cost. Fred’s sacrifice leaves Alex reeling with grief and guilt, forced to confront the harsh reality that redemption sometimes demands the ultimate price. The film directed by Julien Leclercq (@julien_leclercq_ on instagram) closes on an uncertain note, emphasizing the high cost of heroism and the enduring scars of a world where survival often hinges on the willingness to sacrifice oneself for the greater good.
