Hereditary – Hollywood Movie Review

The film opens with the death of Ellen Leigh, the secretive matriarch of the Graham family. Her daughter Annie, an artist who specialises in disturbing miniature models, begins to sense that her mother’s influence did not end with death. The family dynamic is already strained, and the atmosphere becomes increasingly unsettling as grief manifests in strange and frightening ways.

Things take a horrifying turn when a shocking accident claims the life of Annie’s daughter, Charlie. The tragedy fractures the family completely. Annie spirals into guilt and rage, her husband Steve clings to logic, and their son Peter is haunted by trauma and fear. Supernatural events escalate disturbing visions, unexplained movements, and terrifying discoveries blurring the line between psychological breakdown and occult manipulation.

As Annie investigates her mother’s past, she uncovers a sinister cult devoted to summoning a demon named Paimon. The family’s suffering is revealed to be part of a carefully orchestrated ritual spanning generations. The film descends into full-blown nightmare territory, ending with a chilling coronation that confirms the family’s fate was sealed long before the story began.
