Sanitation Day is a crime thriller by plot, but a comedy by culture; Sanitation Day is based on two inspectors interrogating suspects regarding the brutal murder of a man, before the eve of sanitation day and the crime scene is cleaned up, destroying evidence.
Face-me-I-face-you compound finds a dead body at 7 am, the police show up to navigate a hostile, uncooperative group of tenants to uncover the truth, suddenly everyone has ear problems, and nobody is talking.

Sanitation Day explores the theme of community, crime and the chaotic nature of life in Lagos, featuring a “whodunit” mystery with various twists, blending suspense with moments of dark humour.
Using a food analogy, sanitation day is like Saturday morning beans, everybody in the pot, small-small heat, one bad seed can spoil everything, police are the spoon trying to find it

Sanitation day succeeds because everyone is a suspect and everyone is innocent until the murderer is apprehended.
