Something About The Briggs (Cinema Review) 2025

4 Min Read

I wasn’t so sure what to expect from this brand-new movie in the cinema, but I decided to go check it out. I guess I am excited and happy to tell you that the movie was really nice, and it made my day. The lead actor and actress killed their role and brought them to life. Go check it out and thank me later.

Let’s dive into the movie. Daniel Etim Effiong played the lead role with Ariyiike Owolagba. Ariyiike was a very pretty young lady who was so scared of entering into a serious relationship. When she met Daniel, she made it clear that they were entering into a non-relationship relationship, which meant no strings attached and nothing serious expected. After months of dating, Daniel fell overly unloved and decided to ask the big question, ” Will you marry me?” and Ariyiike froze.’

She wasn’t ready for anything serious, let alone marriage, he’ll no, she had witnessed loads of problems with her siblings and decided that marriage wasn’t for her as it wasn’t going to last. Daniel couldn’t believe that she wouldn’t accept his proposal, which was every single girl’s dream. To prove her point, Ariyiike decides to take him around to meet her siblings and parents and decide if he wants to go ahead. What he witnessed was far from being pleasant.

You will need to go check out the movie to see if Daniel went ahead or broke the engagement. You will need to see the reason why Ariyiike dreaded marriage. The movie was a very beautiful one with loads of lessons
about life.

I learnt loads of lessons. The fact that people before you have gone through that route and failed doesn't mean that you will also fail. If you put in the work and trust God, things will work out better for you. Fantastic movie, I must say, and the costumes were amazing.
