Aburo is a sport film following a street-smart boy blessed with incredible sprinting speed who steals from a failed international athlete, leading to an aspiring mentorship that battles against ghetto loyalties and a tragic twist.
Aburo mistakenly steals from Mide, instead of just punishing him, Mide notices Aburo’s rare and raw sprinting speed and decides to train him into a professional running star.

Even as training opens doors to a brighter future, Aburo struggles to cut ties with his old local gang and his harsh upbringing. Aburo shares a close, deeply emotional bond with Rofiat, who serves as his emotional anchor and support system through his daily hardships. Balancing street survival, his loyalty to his peers and Mide’s intense athletic discipline pushes Aburo to his absolute breaking point.
Aburo works hard to make something of his athletic talent, but his past life in the ghetto continues to haunt his progress.
