Riley’s childhood friend, David, witnesses the horrific scene and wakes Riley from her trance. This mirrors a deeper trauma years prior, Riley’s father murdered her mother and killed himself in the very same house.

Ten years later, an adult Riley inherits her family’s house and lives under a strict sleep schedule. Realizing that a malicious force manifests when she enters deep sleep, she never allows herself to sleep before anyone else under her roof. Her current boyfriend, Cam and her old foster friend, David gather with her at the house. The rules are broken when Cam carelessly lets Riley fall asleep first. A pale, robed entity known as The seer crosses over from her night terrors into reality, targeting those close to her.

Suddenly, David disappears after leaving distorted, frantic phone calls pleading for Riley’s help.
Armed with a gun, Riley tracks David’s phone signal to a secluded house, where she discovers David has been murdered. To her shock, Cam appears at the crime scene and apologizes just before Cam’s mother, a Voodoo priestess, knocks Riley unconscious.

The narrative shifts back one year to reveal that Cam purposely targeted Riley at a group therapy session. When Cam was a child, his father disappeared under mysterious circumstances in the woods. His mother has been using Hoodoo magic and Riley’s severe sleep vulnerability to channel The Seer. The entity is an interdimensional predator that can only manifest in our world for three days every ten years to feed, coinciding exactly with Riley’s 10-year trauma cycles. Cam and his mother have been using Riley as a psychic vessel to learn the truth about what happened to his father.
