MY VILLAGE PEOPLE (NETFLIX REVIEW) 2022
When this movie initially got released in the cinema last year, I wasn’t sure what to expect as it wasn’t my kind of movie, I really enjoy movies that make me think and reason, and when I wasn’t getting the vibe, I thought I would see it sometime in future.
This is a Nigerian movie that got released in 2021 but was just recently added on Netflix, its being trending so I decided to check it, honestly, it was quite difficult for me to complete the entire story but I guess I understood. Prince was a young vibrant wealthy guy, who just couldn’t stick to one woman, in the process of sleeping around, he mixes with the wrong set of women who are bent on frustrating and destroying his entire life, Prince had to run from place to place all to seek assistance, as he lost sleep for days, I guess this was my understanding of the movie if you feel otherwise please share your thoughts.
Cast: Bovi Ugboms as the writer and lead character, Ada Ameh, Akah Akanni, Venita Akpofure and many more.
Director: NiyiAkinmolayan
Runtime: 134min.
Genre: Comedy, Drama
Release: 2021
I would score the movie 5/10, it was just a very simple basic movie, well maybe because it wasn’t my kind of movie, I absolutely struggled to get a full understanding of the movie. If you enjoy Nollywood comedy, I am sure you might love this.
