CHAPTER 51 – HOLLYWOOD MOVIE REVIEW

Cheaper 51 is a mockumentary-style comedic thriller film about a retired FBI investigator reopening the cold case of an elusive serial killer who Mide red three leading actresses during the chaotic production of a $500 million blockbuster film called Dissident.

The film centers on the making of Dissident, an ultra-ambitious $500 million motion picture intended to completely change Hollywood. During production, an unidentified figure dubbed “THK” ( The Hollywood Killer) turns the set into a grisly crime scene by murdering three successive actresses hired for the same primary role.

Under the eccentric, aggressive and egomaniacal direction of filmmaker Christopher Pace( and later a replacement director), production shockingly refuses to shut down, opting to keep the cameras rolling despite the mounting danger.
Ava Bergman was envisioned as the ultimate muse for the production before meeting her demise, Greta Daniels, a co-lead who openly clashed with the volatile crew, Barbera Ball, killed while wrapped up in a messy web involving a drug-addicted co-star, Dustin Scott and Audrey Evans, the sole leading lead to survive the terror.

The documentary-Stryker narrative investigated five primary suspects, examining talking-head interviews from self-absorbed actors, studio producers like Tedd Mankiewicz and volatile crew members where everyone appears capable of murder.

Years after the tragedies and zero arrests, former FBI agent Thomas Scott reopens file. Scottt sifts through an immense, chaotic archive of behind-the-scenes footage-shot across various histori formats like 8mm, 35mm, 70mm, VistaVision and IMAX- to separate artistic obsession from reality and finally unmask the Hollywood killer.
