Anthill Studios, the production company behind cinematic Nollywood blockbusters like “King of Thieves,” “Jagun Jagun,” and “Beast of Two Worlds,” is set to release its latest offering – the high-octane action thriller “CRIMINAL” – in cinemas nationwide starting May 31st.
Directed by Dolapo Adigun, making her directorial debut, “CRIMINAL” follows a principled and no-nonsense Medical Doctor who faces a deadly dilemma when a dangerous criminal barges into the bustling Lagos hospital where she works and demands treatment for his only brother, who is bleeding and on the verge of death.

The film features a talented ensemble cast led by Uzor Arukwe, Funlola Aofiyebi, Chuks Joseph, Gbubemi Ejeye, Taye Arimoro, and Segun Arinze.
“‘CRIMINAL’ will give audiences a true cinematic experience like never before seen in Nollywood cinema,” said Director Dolapo Adigun. “We’ve built an entire hospital set from scratch to create an immersive and high-stakes environment for this thrilling story.”
The film’s screenplay was written by Niyi Akinmolayan, who praised Anthill Studios’ continued push to expand the boundaries of Nollywood. “Anthill keeps pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in Nollywood,” he said.
