I CARE A LOT – HOLLYWOOD MOVIE REVIEW

2 Min Read

I care a lot is a comedy crime film that follows Marla Grayson, a court-appointed guardian, whose job description is “care” for elderly people who can’t care for themselves, but her actual job is to use corrupt Doctors and care home managers to declare perfectly healthy elderly people “incompetent”, placing them in facilities and liquidating their properties, draining their bank accounts, Legal theft.

Marla selects a seemingly perfect victim, Jennifer Peterson who is wealthy, has no family and is in good health. Jennifer is actually not who she seems; she is the mother of Roman Lunyov, a dangerous Russian mafia boss.

Roman tries to free his mother using bribery and threats, but Marla refuses to back down, leading to a brutal war of attrition between them. Roman’s men kidnap Marla, staging a murder-suicide by drowning in a car. Marla survives.

Instead of killing her, Roman offers to partner with her to scale her scam into a global, legitimate-looking business. She accepted and became an immensely wealthy, powerful CEO.
Marla is shot in the chest and killed by Mr Feldstrom, a man whose mother dies alone after Marla stole her assets and placed her in a nursing home.

I care a lot, which makes you ask, “Does the system eat the scammer or does the scammer become the system?”
