“Owambe Thieves” (2025) is a Nigerian crime drama directed by Adeoluwa Owu and produced by Eniola Ajao. The film follows Cheta (Zubby Michael) and Lola (Eniola Ajao), a young couple struggling to survive during a severe economic recession in Nigeria. Desperate to provide for their newborn child, they devise a plan to infiltrate lavish Owambe parties of extravagant Nigerian celebrations known for their opulence and free-flowing cash with the intent to steal from the wealthy attendees.

Their scheme initially brings in much-needed money, but it also entangles them with dangerous figures in the criminal underworld. They cross paths with Oga Bernard (Odunlade Adekola), a powerful and corrupt businessman, and Oga Blings Blings (Femi Branch), a flamboyant socialite with hidden motives. As their crimes escalate, Cheta and Lola find themselves in a perilous web of betrayal and violence, forcing them to confront the consequences of their actions and question how far they are willing to go for survival.
