Something About the Briggs (2025) is a compelling Nollywood drama that delves into the complexities of love, marriage, and family within a wealthy yet dysfunctional Nigerian family.
At the heart of the story is Sophie Briggs , a successful corporate lawyer who is deeply skeptical about marriage due to the troubled relationships she’s witnessed within her own family. Her perspective begins to shift when she meets Chuks Obi, a charming PR firm owner who believes in love and commitment.

Richard Briggs is an entitled, manipulative husband who drains his wife Nina emotionally and financially. Jayson Briggs battles with his wife Bimbo, whose overbearing mother constantly interferes in their marriage. Cynthia Briggs dominates her husband Olumide, dragging him into accusations and forcing intimacy on her terms.

Despite these red flags, love slowly blossoms between Sophie and Chuks. However, just as Sophie begins to reconsider her stance on marriage, an explosive revelation shakes the Briggs family: a man claiming to be Femi Briggs long-lost son appears, unveiling a 44-year-old secret that threatens to tear the family apart.
