Merit’s ghost begins to appear to him first in dreams, then in waking life, tormenting him with guilt and dread. Andy spirals into paranoia and despair, unable to enjoy the riches bought with his wife’s blood. His friends in the occult warn him to remain silent, but Andy’s sanity begins to unravel.
As the story unfolds, Andy realizes that the cult’s power is not absolute there is a spiritual price for everything. He becomes hunted not only by Merit’s restless spirit but also by the emptiness of his soul. In a dramatic conclusion, Andy seeks redemption, but by then, the weight of his sins may be too heavy to escape.
The movie closes with a moral warning: shortcuts to wealth bring destruction, and no blood sacrifice goes unpunished.
