Adire is a drama following Asari, a sex worker who flees her pump to Oya town. Asari, looking to leave her life as a sex worker, moves to a quiet town, changing her name and starting a lingerie business, making bras from traditional adire material. A sex-worker-turned-entrepreneur.
Her unique, handmade lingerie empowers the conservative married women in the community. Adire’s business becomes a big hit in town, with many women patronizing her. The women see her lingerie as empowering them in their marriage, as they call it a “miracle bra”.

This draws the ire of Folasade, a judgmental deaconess and wife of the local preacher, who acts as the moral leader of the town.
She soon discovers the most unusual friendships and love in the unlikeliest of places.
Adire’s past catches up with her when her former pimp, the captain, tracks her down to retrieve the money she stole to find her escape.
Adire deals with redemption, female empowerment, overcoming a difficult past and empathy over rigid mortality.
Adire is a blend of romance, community and personal transformation. Adire is a drama every Nigerian woman who’s ever been called “too much” needs to watch before she dims herself to make the church comfortable.
Adire proves that a woman can sell her body and be condemned, or she can sell cloth that makes other women feel like their bodies are worth something and still be condemned. The sin isn’t sex. It’s autonomy.
