Adrift and desperate, the survivors are seemingly rescued by a passing fisherman named Roy. However, relief turns to terror as Ro’s true motives are revealed. It turns out Roy is an unhinged killer whose wife was previously killed by a shark. He views this specific great white as his personal white whale and is willing to commit human sacrifice to catch it. Roy drugs the couple and friends and begins manipulating scenarios to force them into the water, using them as chum to draw the shark’s attention.
As they are violently picked off one by one by the circling shark and Roy’s increasingly psychotic actions, the remaining survivors desperately fight back. During the brutal chaos, characters are killed or severely injured and Roy himself is eventually dragged to his death by the shark.
