Kelly immediately clashes with Cole Davis (Channing Tatum), a stoic and rule-bound launch director who despises the idea of “selling science.” Their constant arguments, her flamboyant confidence against his quiet discipline create both friction and undeniable attraction.
As the launch date looms, the stakes rise when a White House official orders Kelly to secretly film a fake moon landing as a backup, in case the real one fails. What begins as a backup plan spirals into a dangerous deception that could destroy careers and national pride alike.

Amid the tension, romance brews. Kelly, who’s always hidden her vulnerability behind charm and strategy, begins to soften as she sees Cole’s integrity and dedication. Together, they face impossible choices: protect the truth or preserve the illusion that the world desperately needs to believe in.
The film glows with humor, tenderness, and retro flair, balancing history with heart. “Fly Me to the Moon” reminds us that while science can take us far, it’s love and courage that truly make us reach higher.
