Gammy And The Living Things – Nigerian Animated Movie Review

In Gammy & The Living Things, the story follows Gammy, an Agama lizard who leaves his quiet rural home in search of a better life in the fast-paced, music-fuelled streets of Lagos. He arrives full of hope but soon discovers Lagos is full of challenges, crowded, noisy, sometimes unfair, but also full of opportunity.

Along the way, Gammy teams up with a band of loyal friends who share his love of music. Together they face obstacles: adapting to city life, staying true to themselves, and dealing with those who oppose them or exploit their dreams.

Through trials of friendship, struggle, and competition, Gammy learns that success isn’t just about making it big, it’s about integrity, community, and keeping your roots even when you change. In the end, the movie is as much about redemption (for himself and what he comes from) as it is about chasing dreams.
