Shina is a crime thriller drama following a reformed ex-cultist turned taxi driver named Shina Akanji.
On the eve of a highly tense Lagos gubernatorial election, Shina strives to live an honest life after previously struggling with drugs and cultism.
His life is thrown into chaos when his grandmother falls critically ill with excruciating abdominal pains. He races her to a chaotic and understaffed hospital, where a compassionate doctor, Morenike admits her, but strict hospital protocols demand a massive financial deposit for immediate cancer tests and surgery.

Desperate for the funds, Shina gets pulled back into the gritty underworld. He crosses paths with BB, a ruthless crime lord who recognizes Shina from his past life. BB coerces Shina into executing a dangerous and illicit operation, delivering a mysterious package in exchange for paying his grandmother’s mounting medical bills in full.
Shina’s quest to deliver the package is fraught with perilous moral dilemmas, violence and harassment from rogue police officers. As he navigates the dangerous and volatile streets of Lagos during the pre-election tension, he realizes he is a pawn in a much larger, high-stakes game of political conspiracy and criminal ambition.

Eventually, his grandmother receives an anonymous payment, undergoes successful surgery, and is declared cancer-free, while Shina’s underworld entanglement brings about significant consequences and a reckoning for those involved in the city’s corruption.
