Movie Review – TROLLS
This holiday was a lovely time to think out of the box hence my reason for seeing animated movies back to back, believe me I was really thrilled, happy and impressed with seeing it. It totally made my day and I was glad I went to see it. So it was a typical kiddie’s animated movie where there was lots of singing, dancing, jumping and excitement. I had heard how well it had done in the cinemas so I decided to see it before it stops showing in the cinema. It had a very lovely story line with lots of lessons for the kids. I did learn a lesson or 2, but above all I was really entertained because they danced to songs we already knew and could connect to, that for me was the highlights, believe me I am still smiling as I write this review days after, this reveals how happy and impressed I was with this lovely animated movie. I sincerely feel that Moana and Trolls are amazing movies parents can take their kids to see this holiday another 100% recommendation from me to you and for adults if I was thrilled. I am so sure you will as this movie will make you smile and laugh all through.
The 1hr 32mins movie too was just too short for the thrill and excitement, I wanted it to go on and on, I was really having a good time. It kept me thinking and even inspired that once you have the right attitude and you believe you could achieve whatever you set your mind out to. Sincerely all the kids had so much fun, they absolutely didn’t want to leave when the movie was over, they all sat there hoping that there was going to be another part to it, unfortunately there wasn’t. I am sure they will be hoping that more amazing movies like this hit the cinema this year. I feel that 2016 was a beautiful year for amazing animated movies and hopefully they will surpass our expectations again this year.
The movie was directed by Walt Dohrn, Mike Mitchell, and featured voices of Justin Timberlake, Anna Kendrick, Zooey Deschanel and many more. Their voices were just perfect for each role and made it look so real, as you could connect with the voices and the characters. Each character killed it for me and I was extremely impressed by the storyline, production, cast and choices of location, everything looked perfect and heavenly. Brilliant job by the producers and they were just amazing in making us feel like it was so real, at a point you will almost forget that
you were watching an animated movie. Now to the movie itself which started on a very happy and exciting note with the lead actor poppy the happiest trolls ever born and Bridge who was always unhappy set out on a journey to go recue their friends, who were captured by the Bergens to a faraway unhappy land. The Bergens were all very unhappy and grumpy and they felt that for them to be happy they needed to eat the trolls so they can have happiness from within. Little did they know that happiness isn’t from what you eat but from your choice and decision? It was about making the deliberate efforts and taking good steps to being happy.
The movie was actually about finding your happy place and staying there. So they helped the Bergens discover that substance or action that makes them happy and helped them to stay there. Poppy was able to make Bridge talk about his past, and come out of his sorrows and at the end Bridge became a happy person. So Bridge and Troll were able to save their friends and the movie ended on a very happy note. They went back home
leaving the Bergens very happy.
To my verdict this week I will say a very big 9/10 for an extremely interesting and amazing movie. One that I enjoyed every scene from the beginning till the very end. I was actually singing and nodding my head along as they performed to top notch songs, we could connect with. For me the lessons learnt was that you must always make the deliberate efforts to be happy, which is a choice, once you believe you can do something no matter what it was, if you have the right attitude then you can achieve. For me that was a brilliant way of starting this 2017, and I
am sure the kids in the cinema sure did enjoy every bit of it and totally agree with me. I totally recommend this movie to anyone who wants to have a good laugh this weekend.
