Movie Review – MOANA
So to start the holiday I felt it would be nice to see a totally different kind of movie from my regular adult movies with so much fighting, action, suspense and film tricks and sincerely I had no regrets what so ever seeing this noble movie called Moana. I was thrilled and delighted to go watch it, as I had discovered the millions the movie had grossed in already. I wanted to see and fell what the kids enjoyed about this movie, believe me I was extremely impressed and they surpassed my expectations. The movie was exciting from the start to the finish I actually couldn’t believe myself that I didn’t want the movie to end, although we were very few adults in the hall that day I can bet we enjoyed it as much as the kids. You need to have seen them jumping up, shouting and singing along, they were so happy and I could just feel their innocence and joy. This is a 100% recommendation for parents to take their kids to this holiday because it sure did have a good story line.
The 1hr 47mins movie didn’t feel long in any way, it kept everyone clued to their seats till the very end. The location, production, cast and voice choices were just brilliant and amazing, each actor fitted in properly to their roles. Believe me when I say it was a brilliant movie for everyone both kids and adults as there were a few lessons to pick out from the movie. The thrill and excitement was from the word go till the very end and everyone just wanted more.
Moana was directed by Ron Clements and Don Hall. It featured brilliant acts like Auli’I Cravalho, Dwayne Johnson, Rachel House and many more. The voices of the actors were amazing and the singing made the movie more interesting and exciting. We really couldn’t have expected more as they surpassed our imagination.
The movie started on a very interesting note, where the lead actor Moana was listening to a story being narrated by her grandmother. Moana’s grandmother explained to the little kids that they were voyagers, she told them how they used to travel from one island to another till they got trapped and stuck on this new island and never went beyond the rift for fear of being killed. Moana’s father the chief of the island didn’t like his mom telling the kids this story because he feared that they might grow up and decide to leave the island. He wanted them to stay safe on this island until one day evil finally met up with them on their supposedly safe island. Then they knew that they will have to find a lasting solution to their problems. Moana’s grandmother knew that Moana was chosen by the ocean to solve the terrible curse incurred by Maui a demi god, she kept advising and encouraging her to listen to her heart and she will hear the answers and make things right once and for all. Moana did and she found the demi god, they went to the dark island returned the pearl he stole and peace was restored to all the islands, it was a breath taking site at the end to see the dark island transformed into a magnificent pretty island once again. Moana did it she saved her people and the island and they lived in peace from one island to another.
To my verdict this week, I totally agree that this movie was awesome; I enjoyed the story line, the acting, the singing and dancing. Everything just looked perfect in the movie, the production, the cast and the link in the story. I was totally entertained and impressed by this wonderful movie. For me the lesson was that you can’t make limitations for your kids and bring them up in fear. You must allow them to thrive, believe and leave their lives to the fullest but with your guidance off course. Don’t hold them because you didn’t succeed in something and think they won’t, because you just never know what they were destined to do. I will say 9/10 for this movie and it’s a 100% recommendation by me to everyone. Have a lovely weekend.
