She taught love is a romantic drama following Frank Cooper, a self-destructive actor battling addiction. Ever since getting off a prestigious cable television series, Frank has been coasting through life, distracting himself with women, booze and blow, while auditioning to play stereotypical gang members and drug dealers.
Frank meets Mali, a sports agent facing a terminal cancer diagnosis. Frank is struggling with his career and personal life, using distractions to cope, while Mali is living for the present, facing mortality, with the ticking clock emphasizing the urgency of their love.
Frank and Mali cross paths, sparking an unlikely romance, and they must learn to love and live in the moment.
The story follows their journey as they navigate their deep connection, with Mali teaching Frank to find his purpose and love himself again.

So the deal was that Mali teaches Frank how to love, and he will help her live her last months loud. She teaches, he learns, she dies, and he doesn’t. The couple realizes their need for each other, choosing to embrace the love they found, rather than letting fear tear them apart.
Rather than a purely tragic ending, the film highlights their choice to fight for their relationship and find profound meaning in their limited time together.
She taught love proves that sometimes the people with least time left have the most to teach about living and sometimes “I love you” means I will stay even when it’s ugly. She taught love also proves that love isn’t about keeping people, it’s about becoming someone worth keeping after they’re gone.
