THE KITCHEN (NETFLIX REVIEW) 2023
This movie took us way back and wanted to replay an old story of an incidence that occurred years back and how the rangers were brought back to solve a case.
I struggled with this movie for a while before clicking on it to check it out. It was a simple and basic British movie one you will need to watch with full concentration to get a hang of the story. Izi was a simple guy that worked a simple 9am -5pm, but wanted a good life, he lived in a place called “The kitchen”, the only place left for the, it was one of the only surviving social housing estate left for the poor, and yet the government wanted to take it off, pushing them out with no where to turn, in order to save their homes, the boys and teenagers in the estate had to fight the police day and night, trying all they could to stop them from kicking them out and taking over the estate. The movie told a story of what was likely to happen come 2044 in London, if things were not done right, well do check it out to see how it ended, as they were ready to go down for everything. The 108m Sci-Fi, British, drama movie was directed by Kibwe Tavares, Daniel Kaluuya, they featured acts like Kane Robinson, Jedaiah Bannerman, Hope Ikpoku Jr. , Ian Wright, Teija Kabs, Demmy Ladipo, Cristale, BackRoad Gee, Rasaq Kukoyi, Henry Lawful, Alan Asaad and many more.

I kind of struggled with this movie, I couldn’t really lay my hands on what it was, its hard to tell, either I was tired or the Cowboy movie just wasn’t for me. Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow were on a rampage from city to city, killing cops and causing havoc every where they went to, it was like having the bad Robin Hood in the city as they stole and helped the less privileged, to the people in the varying cities they loved them and idolized them, praising and protecting them from being caught. When the authorities found out that it was taking the cops too long to bring them to books, they had to result to inviting the former
Texas Rangers Frank Hamer and Maney Gault to join forces with cops and capture this notorious criminals, who had being on loose for so long.
Cast: Kevin Costner, Woody Harrelson, Kathy Bates, John Carroll Lynch, Kim Dickens, Ted Hinton and many more.
Director: John Lee Hancock
Runtime: 132min.
Genre: Crime/Drama
Release: 2019
To my verdict I would score this movie 4/10, I really didn’t enjoy the movie, nor get the story, I guess this movie wasn’t for me, hence my verdict, if you like old ranger’s movie, then you might want to try this out, do not forget to share your thoughts when you watch it.
