After discovering a distress message from Alpha Trion, a legendary Prime, the duo joined by B‑127 and Elita‑1 ventures to the surface. Trion reveals that Sentinel Prime has betrayed the Thirteen original Primes, hoarding the Matrix of Leadership and dealing Energon to the interstellar Quintessons in exchange for power. He gifts Orion and D‑16 with transformation cogs, setting them on the path toward heroic destiny.
