Farmer’s Bride – Nollywood Movie Review

In a quiet village where the soil remembers everything love, betrayal, and the blood of secrets one marriage will test the boundaries of tradition and temptation.
Odun, a wealthy but lonely farmer, decides to marry Funmi, a much younger woman from a nearby village, hoping to fill the void in his life. Initially, Funmi is unsure, but agrees under family pressure. She soon discovers that the rural lifestyle suffocates her and regrets the forced union.

Her despair deepens when Kunle; Odun’s charismatic nephew arrives on the farm. A secret, passionate affair develops between Funmi and Kunle, driven by Funmi’s quest for genuine emotion and escape from loneliness. The two lovers see their relationship as an act of liberation but it threatens the fragile peace surrounding Odun’s household.
