The Twits – Netflix Animation Trailler

3 Min Read

In a twisted corner of the world where cruelty passes for comedy and filth reigns supreme, there stands a grotesque amusement park unlike any other in a bizarre, exaggerated British town called Twitville, we are introduced to Mr. and Mrs. Twit, a cruel, filthy, and grotesque couple who thrive on tormenting everyone and everything around them. They run a rundown amusement park called Twitlandia, filled with disgusting rides and dangerous attractions, but it’s more of a trap than entertainment.

They enslave a family of monkeys led by the clever Muggle-Wump forcing them to perform dangerous tricks, and they’re constantly plotting new ways to mess with people, from gluing furniture to ceilings to serving fake eyeballs in meals. They’re feared by all and love it.

A group of orphans Rita and her little brother Bill discover the dark truth behind Twitlandia after a near-death experience on one of the rides. They sneak inside and meet the enslaved monkeys and other trapped animals.

Realizing the Twits have an entire underground lab where they develop new “disgusting experiments” to control the town’s minds (via carnival food and hypnotic rides), Rita organizes a resistance. The monkeys, other abused animals, and the kids form a plan to expose the Twits and free Twitville.

Meanwhile, the Twits become more paranoid and vile, plotting to become mayor and rename the entire town after themselves “The Glorious Republic of Twitland.”

On the day of their twisted mayoral inauguration, the resistance sabotages every ride, flips their glue-and-garbage traps, and turns the Twits’ own tricks against them. There’s a chaotic final confrontation in the Hall of Mirrors, where the Twits fall victim to their own illusions believing they’re being attacked by hundreds of versions of themselves.

Muggle-Wump and the animals trap them in their own monkey cage and glue it shut, just as they once did to others. The townspeople, now freed from mind-control and intimidation, celebrate. Rita and Bill are hailed as heroes, and the amusement park is transformed into a real haven for fun and laughter, run by the animals and kids.
