The film begins in a small, grey city surrounded by looming walls. Into this city comes Robyn Goodfellowe, a bright young girl whose father is a hunter. They’ve come because the city wants to destroy the last pack of wolves to make the land safe for humans. Robyn’s father believes it’s their duty. Robyn feels torn: she doesn’t hate wolves, but she wants to make her father proud.

One night, while exploring outside the city walls, Robyn meets Mebh, a wild-spirited forest girl who claims she can become a wolf at night. Mebh is free, wild, connected to the forest. Robyn is curious but scared. Wolves are dangerous, people say. But Mebh shows her there is more than the human world’s fear: there is nature, magic, and freedom.

As they become friends, Robyn learns the forest’s secrets the trees, the spirits, the songs of wolves. She starts to see that the city’s “safety” is actually destruction. Meanwhile, her father leads the hunt, fueled by fear and hate. He hires hunters, traps wolves, burns parts of the forest. Robyn tries to intervene but fails. Pain builds betrayal, anger, guilt.
Then comes a moment of reckoning: Mebh’s mother is captured, the forest threatened. Robyn must choose: stay loyal to her father and her city, or stand with Mebh, the forest, and what’s right. She chooses. Together, they fight, wolves freed, hunters defeated, forest alive. Robyn rejects her old life of fear. She accepts the wild, the unknown, the magic.

In the final scenes, the city walls stand, but the forest grows closer. Robyn, Mebh and the wolves walk free under moonlight. The film ends softly: a girl who learned to see, a world given a second chance, a promise that humanity and nature can share the same ground if people remember to listen instead of destroy.
