WOMAN KING (CINEMA REVIEW) 2022
The trailer of the movie kept everyone talking and looking forward to the release date. I was super happy when I got invited to the premier, which meant that I saw it before it got released. I was happy I did as the movie met my expectations and with loads of lessons too. If you haven’t seen this fantastic movie I don’t know what you are waiting for as it will be worth your while.
To the story Nanisca was one of the great advisers of the king Ghezo, who was a young king that wanted to do things right in the land. Nanisca was the general in charge of the female warriors who had dedicated their lives to protecting the king and his people
They would go through rigorous trainings and only the best were selected. They were not allowed to marry, have children or be with a man, as they had to focus totally on the missions ahead, and distractions from men were not entertained. Nanisca must lead the Agojies in the final battle against the Oba of Oyo and gain victory so that they may leave in peace in their land. A very intriguing and touching story one that would almost make you cry as her past comes back to hunt her. I totally enjoyed it and it reminded me a lot about Wakanda Forever, I can’t wait to see the sequel coming out in November.

Well I am certain that this will make it to my top 10 movies of 2022. It was absolutely brilliant and I enjoyed the storyline, the storytelling the effects, the cast and crew, who totally killed their roles, the costumes and makeup, the music and dancing, the war scenes and the twist at the end, which leaves you wondering and what next to expect. I was glad it ended well and they received the accolades they deserved. I would definitely be recommending this movie to everyone, do check it out in the cinema before it goes off, you would love it as it would be worth you every penny, it’s still a block buster, even weeks after its release. Before I leave I would score this movie 9/10.
