In line is a thriller drama that follows Debo. Debo is released from a six-year prison sentence for murdering his biological father, a sentence he received leniency on thanks to his mother’s political influence. He returns to his luxurious lifestyle and his wife, Kate.
While Debo was locked up, Kate had been running and expanding their advertising business, but their reunion is deeply strained. Kate harbors unresolved resentment and refuses physical intimacy, preferring to focus entirely on her work.

Debo, who struggled with aggressive and possessive tendencies even before his time in prison, begins to suspect that Kate is having an affair. Driven by jealousy, he hires a private investigator named Bella to trail his wife. Unbeknownst to Debo, Bella is his ex-girlfriend and their past complicates their supposedly professional relationship. Meanwhile, Kate finds comfort and support in the arms of David who conveniently acts as Debo’s best friend, confidant and lawyer.
Eventually, Kate musters courage to ask Debo for a divorce. Desperate to keep control over her and their wealth, Debo tries to use a pre-existing contract that would leave Kate with absolutely nothing if the marriage ends.

In an attempt to escape the toxic dynamic, Kate trusts David to help her navigate the legalities and secure freedom. However, it is revealed that David has his own selfish motives. He and Debo despite their outward appearances as best friends are engaged in a power play, each underhandedly plotting to outsmart the other and steal the money and business.
Just as the men close in in their schemes to strip her of her assets, Kate flips the script. She discovers their betrayals and orchestrates a master plan of her own. Outsmarting both Debo and David, Kate successfully bypasses their traps, takes control of the fortune and leaves the country.
