If you are looking for something, intriguing, amazing, exciting, complicated and spell binding, then I would advise that you see this movie quickly before it goes out of the cinema. I heard from a friend that the movie was really good but I didn’t know what to expect as the poster or the thriller did no justice in explaining what to expect from this new movie, with a few familiar action movie actors and actress. I was certain I was in for something good, but honestly I didn’t trust they actually could blow my mind. You know those kind of movies, where you think you got it unraveled and in check, only to find out that all your suspects were innocent and the most innocent person was actually guilty, this is a typical example, reminded me of “Den of thieves” and “A simple favor” of 2018, this is one of those movies that when it ends you still stay glued to your seat, thumbs up to the director.
This movie directed and written by Rian Johnson, one of those mystery murder movies that leave you speechless and breathless at the very end, I loved every bit of it, from the twisted complicated yet interesting back and forth storyline, they did have loads of flashbacks and memory lane scenes. So you have to pay utmost attention or else you lose the essence of the movie. I loved the cast and how they played each role perfectly. The production was top notch, the cinematography and how they ended the movie, almost made us all stand up for an ovation. I loved and enjoyed every bit of its excitement, I was really thrilled and my expectations were surpassed.
What started slowly simply moved on quickly into the main scenes, this movie was a tribute by the director to a good mystery mastermind Agatha Christie. The movie was so exciting and everyone was a prime suspect till the very end. Christopher Plummer who played the role of Harlan Thrombey was an 85 year old man who had grown up children and grandchildren who still relied on him for their upkeep. He was a very wealthy man who was also so kind and generous to all, his kids all wanted more even his grandkids and sincerely wouldn’t have dismissed the thought of killing him so his inheritance could be shared among them, little did they know that the old man had better plans.
On one occasion when all his kids were around in the big mansion, Harlan slumps and dies and the mystery behind his death needed to be unveiled and this was when a private investigator Daniel Craig “Benoit Blanc” was introduced to unravel the case faster and clearly. He had to interrogate every family member individually and quickly to get their own side of the story, even the staff were not left out, this movie was mind blowing, intriguing and highly intellectual, whereby any scene missed could leave you confused. It kept everyone spellbound and breathless guessing wrongly till the very end, when we finally found the main culprit, we could resist screaming “Wow” what a movie.

To my verdict I would score this movie a 9/10. To think that I can’t really remember any intriguing, mysterious movie that was so good for last year, except “Us” and Us was in its own league with a peculiar kind of story. This movie had something going for it with trying to unravel the killer from start to finish but not once did anyone get bored. If you enjoyed “Us” and “Den of thieves” then you are definitely going to enjoy this. If you also enjoy highly intellectual movies, then you had better see this movie, before it gets taken down.
