2 Min Read

The film begins in bustling Lagos, alive with ambition and youthful dreams. Adil (Timini Egbuson) is a hardworking young man, driven by hunger to make it big in the city. He’s charming, confident, but beneath the swagger lies a boy who has fought too hard to stay afloat. One evening, at a lively tech conference, he meets Adina (Bimbo Ademoye) beautiful, brilliant, but guarded. Sparks fly instantly, though both try to deny it at first.

Their love story unfolds gently with late-night talks, inside jokes, small quarrels that always end in laughter. Adina becomes Adil’s safe space, someone who believes in his dreams even when he doesn’t. But she’s hiding a secret, one that could break everything they’ve built. When Adil proposes, Adina’s hesitation hints at something deeper. Soon, the truth emerges: she has a son, and the child’s father abandoned her years ago. Adil is stunned, unsure if he can handle that kind of responsibility and the tension between love and fear begins to tear them apart.

Meanwhile, family expectations weigh heavily. Adil’s mother disapproves, wanting her son to marry someone “more suitable.” Adina faces pressure too, torn between the comfort of love and the shame society has attached to her past. Through tears, arguments, and heartfelt reconciliations, their love is tested again and again.

The film peaks in a powerful confrontation where Adil must choose between walking away or standing firm beside Adina and her son. His decision brings redemption, maturity, and a sense of “big love” that transcends ordinary romance. By the final scenes, their story feels complete imperfect yet beautifully human.
